BlackJack basic strategy

The first thing you must remember is that the house (the casino), like all other casinos has a statistical advantage to win over you, otherwise the casino wont open, But as a player you still have the chance to win of course.

BlackJack is different from the other casino games because in blaackjack you, the player, have the option to choose, so you can reduce the casino percentage to win by playing with the   best basic strategy.

This Strategy tells you when you should hit and when you should stand, and also tells you when doubling down or splitting is the right thing to do. The strategy is based on the cards total points in your hand, and on the dealers visible card.

You must remember that for most of the game you have cards in your hands, and during this time you are always in a position to lose.

Now, follow the following rules increase your chance to win  

You can Double only when you have two cards in your hand, and it doesn't have a blackjack. So you can Double when you are sure you are going to win, and don't Double if you are not totaly sure that you will.

In some point of the game you can forfeit half of your wager when having an Ace or Face in the hole card, before the dealer checks for blackjack. Some of the players think that it is more recommended to lose half of the bet and surrender, than trying win and losing all the bet.

In professional casinos you can find a payout of 3:2, sometimes 6:5 and even 1:1 is common today. As the player, you need the highest rate, so if you win you will get the most money for your bet.

The following increase the house chance to win :

The dealer can split maximum once, to two hands, this can cause the player to end up with the same cards he started with. This is not such a big deal but it surely effect the dealer chance to win.

The double down option for the dealer is allowed only for a certain totals, like 9 and 11, or 10 and 11. The player against can't hit in this situation.

Limiting the ability to resplit Aces.

So play carefully and wisely, don't be too careful but don't take too much risk. And the most important thing to remember, it is just a game.
